Larry Parr, who previously worked for the USCF, states that if anyone should manage this move to Tennessee it ought to be Judy Misner. Larry Parr has brought up an excellent point. The person now in charge of running the office on a day-to-day basis while Bill Goichberg is off running a chess tournament is Judy Misner. Judy Misner knows better than anyone else all of the office jobs such as the rating system and data entry for recording tournament results and memberships and printing and publishing Chess Life. Judy Misner has worked for the USCF for 18 years. She has done every job. In addition, Judy Misner actually wants to move to Tennessee. She is the only one in the office who actually wants to move there. She has put up her house for sale in New Windsor and has entered into a contract to buy a house in Crossville. It is being said that Judy Misner will be very disappointed if the move does not take place. On the other hand, Beatriz Marinello has no experience running any sort of office. Beatriz has never had an office job. Beatriz worked briefly for the USCF as scholastic coordinator in 1999-2000 but her job was mainly to organize chess tournaments for children. Beatriz has almost no knowledge of the office organization systems of the USCF. Judy Misner is the obvious candidate for the job. She is the de facto Executive Director already. I wonder why she has been overlooked in favor of Beatriz. Sam Sloan

I wonder why she has been overlooked in favor of Beatriz. I too think she would be more than adequate once we get out of NY; where Bill won't be around to intimidate her and harass her.
