PHOENIX, Arizona (AP) -- U.S. Sen. John McCain said Monday that he has "no confidence" in Secretary of Defense Donald Rumsfeld, citing Rumsfeld's handling of the war in Iraq and the failure to send more troops. http://www.cnn.com/2004/ALLPOLITICS/12/14/mccain.ap/index.html Even Republicans are turning on Bush. But where was McCain when he could have helped Kerry?

He hates Bush with a passion for slandering him last time, but it would have been political suicide for him to support Kerry. We get used to McCain's integrity, but sometimes we forget that he is still a human being. He didn't want throw away his career. He is a real conservative, unlike Bush, so he would not have been welcome in either party. I guess I don't blame him. But you would think a guy who could stand up to a North Vietnamese prison would be able to stand up baby Bush. EVIGILARE PECUA! http://unrealitycheck.com

*Sigh*. Campaigning for Bush. Which is even more astounding when you consider that smearing Kerry's war record was the *same* tactic the Bush campaign used against McCain himself in the 2000 primaries.

I was astonished. If I had been McCain (or Cleland) and been treated the way the Bush Machine treated them, there would have been a major resopnse. but they did nothing. And McCain licked his arse for him.

Bush cares nothing for Republicans. He panders to them and the fundies for support, but he and his gang only care about wealth and power and will strive for those by any means necessary.

Sychophant. -- Contempt of Congress meter reading-offscale. Hello, theocracy with a fundamentalist US Supreme Court who will ensure church and state are joined at the hip like clergy and altar boys. America 1776-Jan 2001 RIP

So you think the President should make cabinet appointments based on the statements of one senator who has his own agenda.
