Turn Your Back on Bush | Inaugural Protest Planned

Heretic heretic@unrealitycheck.com>
12/16/2004 7:50:48 PM

Not ready to let this traitor Bush off the hook for all of his crimes
against the nation, but tacky protests are just not you? Well, this
may be your protest. Perhaps the most tasteful protest in American
history, the "Turn Your Back on Bush" protest will employ no signs,
skits, slogans, Molotov cocktails, or any of the other hackneyed
protest vocabulary. The protest will be simple. 1) Attend the
innauguation. 2) Turn your back on Bush as he takes the oath.
http://turnyourbackonbush.org/ The protest is starting to gain ground,
<http://www.newsday.com/news/politics/wire/sns-ap-inauguration-protests,0,5208996.story?coll=sns-ap-politics-headlines>
and you probably will not get pepper sprayed, microwaved or clubbed
just for turning your back. I am not sure whether you will be required
to sign an oath of loyalty to Bush at the gate.
I just can't stand to see this lowlife con man in the white house
getting ready to give our futures away to his international banker
buddies and the Red Chinese under the guise of social security reform.
I bet he is commissioning a gilded throne for the oval office right
now. I am choking on bile. I think I will go donate to the "Turn Your
Back on Bush" organization so they can get the word out to the
country. I'll be right back...
Okay, I feel much better now. I just donated $20 with Paypal! You can
too. http://turnyourbackonbush.org/contribute.htm They say all they
are trying to get right now is $3000 in the next three days to pay a
public relations firm to make this a huge protest. Where else can you
get so much satisfaction for so little money? I am seriously
considering attending, though. I will open a section on my boards to
post rides and requests for rides to the protest.

I wouldn't be so sure. If teachers can get arrested for wearing
T-shirts with the "obscene" slogan "Protect Our Civil Liberties",
and a cop warns a teenager that he will be shot by a sniper for
wearing a "Leave no Billionaire Behind" shirt, anything's possible.

Actually the Democratic party through them out at the 1968 convention.
They really didn't get fully incorporated into the GOP until the
Reagan revolution (himself a former Democrat). No one needs a
political party to practice racism, but they have mostly gone along
with current civil rights laws.

First, civil disobedience is supposed to be non-violent. Republicans
going to their gun cabinets is vigiilantism.
Although it was the Republicans who were opposed to slavery, and

You left out the fact that the parties realigned just recently, and
now the south is all Republican. Same yahoos, same views, just a
different party. Repulicanism is now the party of the KKK, not the

You simply focus on "winning" again. This makes sense, since your
clan only teaches team loyalty instead of what it means to be an
American. You may well win again. But you will never be an American
as long as you embrace unverifiable voting. At best, you are a
sucker. At worst, a supporter of totalitarianism.
Exactly how do you explain cheering while they got rid of American
democracy, and what do you call yourself now that you are no longer an
American?

Take off your diapers and be an adult for the first time in

If you want to sacrifice your life and money for the Confederacy, Bible
Belt fundamentalism and or the Klan then by all means go for it.

Look up "straw man" then answer the following question: how does
the definition apply to the nonsense you spouted above?
300 words or less, thanks.

I'm sorry, but I can't imagine the Klan was supporting Kerry, at least
in Louisiana. Okay, I admit that I have not been back to Louisiana
lately, but it pretty much flipped about fifteen years ago from
Democrat to Republican, and the idea of any of the Klan members I had
the misfortune to meet supporting Kerry is inconceivable to me.
