Boss's teenage son freely torments co-workers

Yes, I know it sounds insane but I am not kidding. If I was an
outsider reading this, I would laugh too. Anyways, the son was hired
by his mom, of course. He has no motivation or interest in working.
He knows no one is going to dare make him do his job. He seems to
delight in how much he can get away with, and trying to out-do his
antics just a little each day.
By torment, I mean he makes unwanted and unwelcome sexual advances to
the female workers (i.e. dry-f*cking their hip or leg). And freely
punches the male workers with his fist. Not a playful punch, but a
solid punch. Plus, he often walks up to anyone, male or female, and
strongly curses at them, for no reason other than that he can.
Yes, I know what you're thinking. Someone could beat the crap out of
him, yes. But for one, he's a minor and none of us are. Which means
one of us would end up in jail on charges of assault on a minor, in
addition to being fired. And two, who's side do you think the boss
would take?
The boss never seems to directly notice any of this going on. The few
who dare to complain to her are patronized but nothing actually done.
If there is a logical reason that the boss tolerates this in the
workplace, I can only imagine that she is using her son to encourage
undesirables to quit in order for positions to be filled (presumably)
for other family members / friends.
No, the boss does not own this company. But is merely a district
manager type. Yes, a complaint could be made to someone over her
head. But people in management will ALWAYS take each other's side
over any worker. Because they seem to watch each other's backs no
matter what the situation is or who is actually at fault. So the only
real end result of going over the boss's head would be the her riding
the complantee's ass incessently.
An anonymous complaint could be mailed to the higher-ups. But being
anonymous, would probably be disregarded as not credible since no
specific person could be questioned about their accusations (or
reprimanded for making them) .
If I could find another job right now I would take it, as many others
of us would. Yes, this situatoin seems to scream lawsuit but nobody
seems to want to go that route. Personally I don't think anyone
wants a lawsuit. We all just want to simply be able to do our jobs in
peace in a non-hostile environment. Is there any recorse that can be
taken?

Someone should sue the company and the kid for sex harrassment. And
for assault. A few fat paydays like that and the company will get the
message. Make sure there is documentation of the instances when the
boss was informed of the kid's conduct. You said: "The few who dare
to complain to her are patronized but nothing actually done."
Therefore the boss was informed, and the conduct is company conduct.
Take that information to an attorney experienced in sex harrassment
and assault cases.

Document, document, document. Then complain to the higher-ups.

Regardless of who mommy is, the kid has no right punching others.
That is assault and battery and he should be charged with the criminal act.
There are federal laws in place protecting employees from verbal abuse, as
well as sexual harassment.
If mom is unwilling to control the kid, take action en masse, and seek legal
assistance from an attorney.
Bring in a uniformed officer of the law and have a meeting with mom, the
kid, and several female employees.
I mean an older, seasoned officer who you know will literally read the riot
act to the kid.
Right in front of mommy, the officer then tells the kid that if he doesn't
straighten up immediately, his attitude will change with a stay in the
county prison for a few months at the least.
Even if it is bull#@($, maybe that will be enough.
Personally, I wouldn't take #@($ from the kid.
Corner him somewhere with a few good muscle type guys and take a whack at
him.
When he goes to #@&@
in about it, "Looks like you got a klutz for a kid
honey. He can't stand up straight.".
Instead of looking for another job, fight back instead of being a whimp.

How very true. Videos would be a nail in the coffin.

Go to your local TV station and tell them you have a great news story about
the boss and her son creating havoc in the workplace. They might want to
investigate and put it on the evening news. Do anything else you can think
of that would emphasize loss of profit and loss of company reputation
because of the kid's actions.

Well if anyone ever hit me I would be filling criminal charges
without hesitation. If the boss fires me I don't want to @$#*ing work
there anyway.
