My Mom wishes to make a simple change to her will, basically changing
$20,000
to $50,000. Does she need a whole new will or just some kind of amendment?
She can do an amendment, called a "codicil," or a new will, revoking the
former one. Of course, a codicil must conform to the same requirements of
a will, must be witnessed, etc., according to the laws of the state of the
testator.
