It's been a couple of years, now, but during a polite exchange of views
about
legal fees and billing practices, the lawyer who drew up living trusts for
my wife
and me said that he charges $2500. This includes for both spouses, inter
vivos
trusts, wills, powers of attorney, health-care powers of attorney, advice on
titling
assets and accounts. You get the documents, drawn up, signed, and
notarized.
I don't know what "recording fees" you think are required.
Is this in a "proper" range? Hard for me to say, since it's not what I
paid. Given
that fact, the following is easy for me to say: I wouldn't do this on the
cheap.
What can one expect for a Revocable Living Trust to cost, for
a single person?
$395, $1500, $1750 plus recording fees, or something else?
From your experience, what is the proper range of this cost?
