NE Pennsylvanians have been feeding children to Mercy hospital's
behavioral unit. When Mercy sought ransom demands, a kidnapping
thresh-
hold had been met, currently subject for review by FBI, Federal
Courts
in a civil-rights arena.
What the hospital and misguided, ill-informed authorities hoped to
accomplish has remained unclear. It is not so much their ignorance of
law, but believing what just isn't so - that these people rounded up
for profit were in emergency situations when in fact they were not.
Consequently there is hell to pay.
Further indication of a need for relief is Scranton's alliance of
University and secular hospital into the first medical college in 50
years - to homegrow caring, understanding doctors, this in contrast
to
fly-by-night fiends Mercy had recruited from the Netherworld.
