I was wondering if anyone knows if there is a law stating how soon
after an offense you must be charged. I was recently in a car accident
on a morning after drinking alcohol the night before. Nobody was hurt
in the accident but me and a week after a police officer called me
saying i had alcohol in my system. I have some severe injuries and 6
weeks still am unable to walk due to a broken femur bone and still may
have a couple surgerys left ahead for an eye that is messed up. the
officer called again asking how I am coming along and I believe he is
waiting until i am healed before charging me with drunk driving.
