I also have a bank account in New Orleans. Paid someone in the small town using Hibernia check. On presenting to same small bank, they informed her that the check was suspect and that they were 'investigating' my NO account. This is intolerable.


Bank accusing me of 'irregularity'
Small town, paid in a perfectly good cashiers check. Waited 5 days for it to clear. Wrote checks locally. All checks returned unpaid. I get 'insufficient funds' charges. I wrote a check to housemate, she goes to pay it in, gets grilled in the bankin
