Great Customer Service- Fast and Easy, 10/14/2010 3:34:01 PM | Reviewer: Findley from Anchorage, Alaska | I used Mycorporation to form a corporation and the experience was great. I was not sure if I wanted to form a corporation or an LLC. Thankfully, their website answered all of my questions, even those I did not think to ask. I placed my order with a customer service representative to make sure I was filling out the questions correctly. The representative was friendly, helpful and very informative. He guided me through the entire process and explained all of my choices along the way. I am extremely pleased with the experience and highly recommend them. |

They're great - filed in no time., 10/13/2009 10:05:06 PM | Reviewer: Phil A. from Los Angeles, CA | I used them myself and they were excellent. Their customer service was very nice and they were extremely helpful. My documents were filed and I had the paperwork that I needed to start my new business - I had to take that paperwork to the bank and everything was in order. I appreciate what Mycorporation did for me and I am particularly greatful for how fast they did it. |

If you have no clue, it wont matter what service you use, 9/17/2009 8:47:58 AM | Reviewer: Anonymous from Chicago, IL | 1) To people complaining about having to file mandated state corporate status, saying you didnt know: You have no business starting any kind of company unless you have researched all of the ins and outs. Almost every state requires a yearly report.
2) People complaining about cost: rule #1 in any service business: convenience costs. Period. There are things you can cut from your order with mycorp in order to economize the order. Things such as the state status filing, s-corp election, EIN/TIN registration. And, to be honest...if you don't know what those are, or how to file for them yourself, you have no business starting anything. There is nothing shady about the pricing. Is it expensive? Let's see: Initial filing in NV is $125.00. The fee mycorp charged was over that amount, but they are doing all the leg work. I could have ordered it, but I can do it myself. Indeed, I should do it myself. If I do not know what's involved in keeping my Corp in good standing, why...I probably shouldnt be in business.
3) Just because you can order online does not mean it abdicates your responsibility to know what it is you are doing. Corporate entities are, by definition, a type of personhood. There are complexities involved. Thinking you will get rid of even half of those complexities is lunacy. Running anything with LLC, or INC on the end requires dedication, and the willingness to learn about what it is you are doing. If you don't want to do that, or you want some faceless company to do all the messy stuff, then the convenience will cost you, as it should.
4) If you think the service is slow, then pay for extradited service. Again, convenience costs. But if you are planning to incorporate in a state you are not a native of, this service is great.
All in all, this is a wonderful service. I cut things off like the s-form election registration, EIN registration, and state filing because I know where irs.gov is. I know where to find the forms for Nevada to file my yearly report. I investigated my responsibilities and what was involved BEFORE I placed my order.
Because, to not investigate and research what goes into running the basics of an Inc, that already puts you at a disadvantage when it comes to starting a new small business. Over 80% of small businesses fail. You can guess which ones those will be, based on some of the non informed and blatantly misinformed comments in these reviews. |

Free LLC + Free Quickbooks - how can you beat that, 2/5/2009 5:03:25 PM | Reviewer: Anonymous from Ventura County, CA | I read the other reviews and decided to try this myself. They do charge state fees, but how would I expect them to pay my state fees? So, they were very friendly and I got my company filed and my corporate papers in 2-3 weeks. What are people complaining about? That MyCorp also asked if they wanted additional products? ...I found that part to be helpful - that they asked me what I needed, walked me through other options (even if I elected not to order them). Other service companies do the exact same thing, and then they charge a service fee $100-200 was what my research revealed. This made a big difference. I think they're helping to get new businesses started, and because Intuit owns them, I trust them. They did a good job and my corporation is formed - that's what I cared about. I guess I could have done this myself through the secretary of state, but I don't know how to do that - I think I would either have had to go in there or to write up the papers myself and mail them in. For the same price, I'd rather have a company like MyCorporation do it for me. What's the downside - they do 1000s of these, so I figured they'd know better than me, and they did. |

Intuit's best acquisition, 8/10/2008 5:15:46 PM | Reviewer: Jenny C. from Orange County, CA | Thank you, MyCorporation. As you probably know, I chose MyCorporation due to the reliability factor. I use Quickbooks and TurboTax, and they're great, so I chose you because I trust Intuit, and you did not disappoint. I realize I wanted legal advice, and you couldn't provide it (after all, you're not my lawyer), but you did help walk me through the process, and my trademark application was filed and in the hands of the USPTO in no time at all. I'm grateful for that because the trademark filing date was realy important. |

Excellent service, 8/10/2008 5:09:30 PM | Reviewer: Michelle from New York, USA | MyCorporation provides the best service when it comes to online legal filing services. They're better than a lawyer because they return you calls and they provide you with your LLC in just a matter of days. I can't thank the team at MyCorp enough - especially Steven Pickett, Marvi, and Lauren. Pricing was higher than other Incorporation Services, 6/3/2005 10:53:30 AM | Reviewer: frank gibroni from florida | Pricing was alot higher than their competitor Incorporate USA, Inc at http://www.inc123.com I found that the flat fees that http://www.inc123.com had (site is not as clean) but very useful., Pricing was very fair. I do not know or understand why there is such a variance as I have ordered from both companies. www.inc123.com provided complete minutes, all I had to do sign who knows |

Save the hassle go elsewhere., 10/6/2010 3:23:50 PM | Reviewer: Anonymous from West Coast, USA | I had formed a LLC through MyCorporation during one of their promos. Although their shipping cost was astronomical to receive their information, I went ahead and went with their service.
Everything was o.k. till they had forced to auto renewal if I didn't provide information that I had switched service. I had called and e-mail a number of times telling them I had switched services, and offered to fax them my information. They said they needed to hear from the state that I had switched. I even offered to pay for the couple of days if it were to keep the service running while they hear back from the other party.
Save yourself the hassle and go with a firm within that state. You'll get personalized service rather than these poor customer service. Not only do they lose future business but they lose future customers who might have joined their service through referral. |

Poor quality of service, 5/28/2010 1:42:36 PM | Reviewer: Varenne, LLC from Morrisville, NC USA | I formed an LLC a couple of years ago via MyCorporation and so far I'm a bit disappointed. Of course I could do this myself manually but the idea is to save time so I can concentrate on my business.
1. In the past two years I have sent emails to their customer service to receive none back I moved and needed to update location and phone info.
2. After receiving an email this past March I think it was I sent an email and received none back yet again.
3. They lack an online self-service, which IMO is just plain bad for business. I had to call and speak with a customer service rep in order to update my information. 05/28/2010
In today's age of Internet and online businesses they are behind in implementing the right technologies to support, promote and really run this service to the best potential. Hopefully they will make the appropriate choices and do this ASAP. |

Slowest spreeds, shady pricing!, 1/15/2009 6:48:45 PM | Reviewer: Patrick from Louisiana | When I decided to go with MyCorporation.com as I am sure many did I searched the internet and found this site. Still I used them after reading all the bad reviews and decided hey FREE is FREE right? WRONG!
First of all I called my Secretary of State and asked just how long it takes to get a business setup. She informed me 5-7 days, 15 at the longest. I asked if they had a rush charge and she said yes for 30 dollars 24 to 72 hours.
So with this information I filed. First thing I noticed that was wrong is they gave no turn around time. When they call you the next day after you place your order they let you know 15-45 days normally but by then it's too late. They have placed your order and to cancel it's 25 dollars.
When I called after a week of waiting to ask where my order was I was informed that they had not touched my documents and it would be a week and half before they sent them out for approval. I informed the customer service rep that that was horrible and I had no idea they would be THIS slow. She informed me that's the way it was and when I told her, the competition was saying it would only take 15 to get my documents and I wanted to cancel. She said well they are probably not as busy as us. She also told her there was no way to wave the fee even though they had not touched my documents.
This company is horrible and I hope they fail. I am not sure who the people are who rated them good but I am guessing they play off of people who don't know what they are doing. If you even remotely know how to use the internet and a phone your one step ahead of them. All the information is out there if you willing to spend some time. All the whole process shouldn't take you longer than a month at worst.
File a compliant with the BBB if you have problems. This people need to be outed by their horrible business practices and not giving people information about turn around times on the site. |

Expected more from Intuit, 11/14/2008 12:35:18 PM | Reviewer: Michael from Chicago, IL | I've used QuickBooks for a while, so when I needed to form an LLC I thought that the Intuit name should say something, but MyCorporation totally messed up my order. First of all there were all kinds of very high-priced things that they piled on to the order. Then they were late and had mis-spellings on the final documents. When I finally reached someone in customer service they were rude and not helpful. In the end they got the job done (which is why it's not just 1-star), but it was not a good process. |

Awesome for some things... Not good for others., 6/22/2007 11:42:07 AM | Reviewer: Anonymous from NJ | A month ago I decided to apply for S-Corp in NJ. I heard great things about MyCorporation so I decided to give them a try.
I ordered a basic Corporation service for around $350. It went fast and very smoothly.
I received my certificate, etc... That's when the troubles began. I found that I needed to do NJ-Reg form required by NJ. That was a surprise to me, since I thought that everything already was included in original charge.
Anyways I thought I could do it myself as well as S-Corp election form. I downloaded the forms and started filling them out. At some point I got bogged down with details and legal mambo jumbo, so I decided to see if MyCorporation could do it.
I called them and a very nice sales person listened to my issues and told me that MyCorporation could take of both forms for me for $119 (NJ-Reg) and $69(S-Corp). I said - great!!! let's do it.
I couple of days later I receive both forms with just my company's name (and address filled out). I really thought they would fill out those forms for me just like they did for the original incorporation. So I called them back and asked them what exactly was I paying $200 for?
Basically after some strong words I got refunded on both services.
Like I mentioned before, I was very satisfied with their generic incorporation services. But their Misc Services are a totally different animal. I mean if you pay them to print out the form, put your name on it and send it to you (at your own expense) and then you end up doing all the work, you are basically throwing your money away.

Do your homework before you sign up with mycorporation.com, 5/12/2012 7:22:06 AM | Reviewer: Thomas Boylan from Florida | My Corporation.com is a fraud in my opinion. They charge moneys and fees for renewal of a business that doesn't even exist. Long story short I formed a company as a back up in a business divorce, at the time I already owned 2 other companies. Turns out this back up company was not needed because I was able to resolve the split up with my business partner amicably. Therefore I never filed for a EIN or a FEIN (Federal Employer Identification Number) number with the state of Florida. I was not going to renew this 3rd company.
Early this year I get an email that my corporation renewed my 3rd dormant company. When I disputed their charges they hide under the umbrella of calling themselves your registered agent. But as a registered agent they failed to do the most basic job, to check with the state if the business they are renewing has a EIN or FEIN number. They made a mistake and now they want me to pay for it. I can't say that I like their business model.
Be very cautious if you decide to do business with them, DON'T use them as your registered agent ! |

Basically a scam, stay away from thsi, 5/26/2010 10:21:57 AM | Reviewer: Steve from New York, NY | After paid for the incorporation service, they told me that it would take a month to complete the paperwork. I asked MyCorporation to cancel their service (I then incorporated online with the state for about 1/5 the price that MyCorporation charged, and the incorporation was complete within 2 days.
MyCorporation then informed me that they would not refund my money because they had already prepared my information packet, which was literally 3 sheets of paper, one of which was something for me to sign and send back to them. I had to contact my credit card company and asked them to stop payment (and they did).
A year later I just received an email from mycorporation telling me i would be automatically enrolled in their corporation guard service for something like $80.
Stay away from these guys, very shady, do not use - they don't do anything! |

Very frustrated!, 12/24/2008 11:54:57 AM | Reviewer: Anonymous from Colorado | I was starting an LLC from scratch, and used mycorp because I figured they would be a big help. After signing up, they sent me an e-mail with all the details of the llc. It says in the e-mail that if anything needs to be changed to let them know. After reviewing, there was a change that needed to be made, so I sent an e-mail. They never responded and after several days I called to request the changed be made. They were very rude and told me the change had already been made. I pointed out that I couldn’t have known that since they didn’t respond to my e-mail. I also asked that they sent me a new e-mail confirming the details, and was told it would happen right away.
The following day, I still hadn’t received anything. I was really disappointed and decided that my corporation was actually making the process harder than if I just did it myself thru the secretary of state. When I called to cancel, I was told I was going to be assessed a $25 cancelation fee. When I pointed out that my corporation hadn’t done anything but ignore my requests and requested the fee be waived, I was told there was no way around it.
I have no idea exactly what service my corporation provides. Everything you can do on their website can be done on the website for the secretary of state. They aren’t helpful or knowledgeable and the customer service is terrible.

Very Dissaponted, 8/11/2006 1:45:48 PM | Reviewer: Flora from Riverside, CA USA | When we formed our LLC we started from scratch. We didn't have any friends or business partners that done it before and could give us a good advice. We trusted My Corporation.com probably because of their association with Intuit (Turbo Tax and Quick Books). They ask us how we want our LLC be formed. We decided to have one of us as 100% member and another as a secretary to be able to do legal paperwork on behalf of new formed LLC. The representative said it could be done and one of us will be a member and other will have legal rights to do paperwork. Of course before taking a payment they promise you a world. After taking a payment their customer service changed. I couldn't get on hold of representative. I email her, left her a voice messages NOTHING. End up calling customer service, complained, have them track her down in order for her to give me a call back. Now we finally we got Statement of Information back from State and guess what. One of us is a member another does not exists. So that the other one that supposed to be a secretary has no legal rights to open a bank account or simply get P.O. Box in company name. Turns out there is no such a thing as a secretary on the State of California Form LLC 12. There is not even a space to assign a secretary for your LLC. Now when I ask what happened with all the promises they gave me before I paid them, they answer that they can not give me legal advice and I should talk to attorney (which is about $150 an hour). Don't waste your time. I think you can get more information with your Secretary of State then with them. You could read instruction that come with the State LLC forms, file it yourself and save $700 worth of bad service. |
